To commemorate the studio’s 10th anniversary, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS will present “10th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION BEYOND THE STRAND: The Odyssey of Creation and Endeavor”.
The exhibition traces the decade-long path of creation and challenge that KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS has walked, through a wide range of content — including never-before-seen production materials, immersive installations recreating the worlds of its works, and video installations exclusive to this exhibition.
In addition, original merchandise available only at the venue and a special collaboration with Azabudai Hills are also planned.

Hideo Kojima is a world-renowned game creator and auteur known for pushing the boundaries of the video game medium. Widely considered the father of the stealth genre, he is also credited with innovating both story-telling and cinematic presentation in video games at large. On December 16, 2015, Hideo Kojima established his own studio called KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, under the banner of “From Sapiens to Ludens”. On November 8, 2019, the studio released its first title, DEATH STRANDING, starring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and Léa Seydoux, for PlayStation® 4. Since its original release, DEATH STRANDING has launched on a variety of platforms, including PlayStation®5, PC, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Xbox Series X|S, and Amazon Luna, received numerous game awards. The sequel, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH launched on PlayStation®5 in 2025, followed by the PC version in 2026, with the DEATH STRANDING series reaching a cumulative player base of over 27 million worldwide in June 2026. In 2020, Hideo Kojima received the BAFTA Fellowship, the highest accolade bestowed by BAFTA upon an individual in recognition of exceptional contribution to film, games or television. In 2023, in partnership with XBOX GAME STUDIOS, the studio officially announced OD, an experience that will explore the concept of testing your fear threshold – while blurring the boundaries of gaming and film. In 2024, in partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment, the studio confirmed PHYSINT, a new action-espionage game is in development.
KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS also recently celebrated its 10-Year Anniversary via a BEYOND THE STRAND live-stream event that included updates on future projects, new partnerships, panel discussions and highlighted DEATH STRANDING franchise expansion plans including the animated film project DEATH STRANDING MOSQUITO, an animated TV series announced for Disney+ titled DEATH STRANDING ISOLATIONS, and a live-action feature film adaptation of the world of DEATH STRANDING from the independent entertainment production company A24.
